I was raised in North Dakota, a very conservative setting where sex without marriage was a forbidden experience. After I moved to California everything lightened up around being sexually active. I eventually found a great relationship with a man born in New England but he died from an injury after we had been together for five years. This loss put me in shock until I reinvented myself, looking for a new form of sexually. This led me to the native American Qudoshka and a little bit latter the Human Awareness Institute (HAI) workshops. My first experience with Qudoshka introduced me to using my chakras to enhance my sexually. HAI emphasized staying in love.
In the past two years I have had the realization that great sex happens with a heart connection with your partner. Developing a relationship with the person before “jumping in” may also enhance the experience. Making love rather than “being sexual” elevates the intensity and satisfaction.
Being open to new ways, ideas and holding presence with your lover at every moment are wonderful additions to having incredible sex. I’m more open now than ever and have enjoyed sexual experiences in the forest, in water, and in tents in our National Parks. However, having a heart connection with the genital connection, no matter what the setting or the environment, makes the experience more delicious, memorable and satisfactory. I have found that running your energy through your chakras can lead to a state of orgasm that is pure pleasure.
